• You must not be a member of a group or organization that has been blacklisted by the government
• Your past and present general conduct should show that you're of good character
• You must not be subject to an adverse security assessment by the Australian Security Intelligence Organization
• You must not be subject to an Interpol notice, from which it is reasonable to infer that you are a direct or indirect risk to an Australian citizen
