Atlantic Immigration Pilot Project

Overview

The Atlantic Immigration Pilot Project is a program that helps bring skilled workers from overseas to Canada. It is a pilot program between the government of Canada and the Atlantic region.

The Atlantic region is the region around the Atlantic Ocean. In Canada, there are four regions or provinces around the Atlantic Ocean. These four regions are among the least visited in Canada. This has led to the shortage of skilled workers.

To mitigate this, the Canadian authority, the four Atlantic Provinces and employers in the provinces combined to provide a solution. This solution would be to bring in skilled workers that can't be gotten in those regions from overseas.

New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island are the four Atlantic regions that are part of the program.
