Alberta Immigration Issues 471 Notifications to Express Entry Candidates

Alberta immigration exclusively targeted Express Entry candidates who had a low Comprehensive Ranking System scores as 303 in the draws for provincial nominee program. These draws were held on July 17th and July 24th in which totally 471 Notifications of Interest were issued through Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program.

Canada Immigration Gets A Boost

On July 17th, 251 candidate received the NOIs at a low rank score of 400 CRS. On July 24th, 220 candidate received the NOIs at a low rank score of 303. So far Alberta has conducted 19 draws to select the candidates in the Federal Express Entry Pool in 2019. For the period ending July 30, 2019, Alberta issued 3,385 notifications against an allocation of 6,000 in the federal nomination. There are 1,560 pending applications in the province waiting for the assessment.

Alberta Express Entry stream conducts regular draws for selecting candidates from the Federal Express Entry pool and invites them for applying to the Program.

Alberta Express Entry requirements

The eligibility criteria to get the NOI for candidates are:

  • Having a profile in Express Entry that is active in federal Express Entry pool

  • Expressing an interest for permanently immigrating to Alberta

  • Work in an occupation supporting the economic progress and diversification of Alberta.

  • A CRS score of 300 points

These Factors advance the chances of a candidate to receive the NOI:

  • An Albertan employer job offer or any type of work experience in the province,

  • Graduation from a post-secondary institution in Canada

  • Having a close relative living in the province like parents, children or siblings,

These Factors decrease the chances of a candidate to receive the NOI:

  • The expiry of profile in Express Entry in the subsequent 3 months

  • Working in an occupation that is ineligible as per the provincial standards
