As of 26 July 2019, applications presented beneath the High Points category are expected to have 85 points.

The High Points category of SA has been victorious in attracting high-quality candidates to South Australia state for the List of Supplementary Skilled (SSL) professions, and occupations on the State Nominated profession List which are classified as Special Terms Apply.

Great Response to High Points Category of South Australia

Immigration SA has got a high volume of appeals for the high points category and will be maintaining applications obtained over the following weeks. 

Immigration SA wants to advise prospective aspirants and migration agents that once we are near to meeting the ‘high points’ category quota, the least points demand will be automatically raised to 90 points. 

Please note that some specific professions have been already closed to the category of high points for the calendar year 2019-2020 – view the state nominated occupations lists for further information.

Due to the large volume of General Skilled Migration subclass 190 and subclass 489 visa state nomination appeals and inquiries received in July 2019, Immigration SA is working hard to process the appeals and decrease the entire processing times.

If your appeal is within the announced processing time, Immigration SA requesting to do not submit an inquiry through email or phone and requesting for an update about the processing. If he or she have submitted an inquiry, please wait for seven business days to obtain a response from the Immigration SA.
