Canada Immigration: 39,500 Indian Citizens Received Canada PR in 2018
As the US making citizenship more difficult for immigrants, Canada appears to have opened its arms, especially to Indians. In 2018, higher than 39,500 Indian citizens received Canada PR under the express-entry system which is a 51% increase from the 2017 number.
Reports say that Canada had allowed above 92,000 new permanent residents below its Federal Express Entry system in 2018, a growth of 51% over the past year. In 2017, Canada had accepted approximately 65,500 permanent residents by its Federal Express Entry path, of which 40%, or 26,300, were Indian Citizens. The Federal Express Entry scheme is used to control applications from skilled and eligible workers for PR by three economic immigration programs.
