Canadians are Positive towards Welcoming Immigrants

A majority of Canadians remain to continue a positive attitude toward immigration despite the growing politicization of the issue, a new opinion survey reveals.
Handled by the Environics Institute in Oct, the survey of 2,000 Canadians saw only insignificant movement in views on these matters since the institute last surveyed Canadian opinions on immigration in Feb 2018.

To the Overall statement, there is more Canada immigration, 58% of those questioned disagreed, down slightly from 60% in Feb. The number of Canadians who bought with this view constantly continued at 35%, while the number with no apparent opinion rose by two points, to 7%.
Higher than 03-quarters of Canadians that is 76% continue to accept that immigration has a positive impact on the economy of Canada, the Environics Institute observed. It was down moderately from the 80% who sustained this view in Feb. The Canadians number who bothered with this view grew slightly, from 16 to 18%.
Regarding views on the overall influence of immigrants to Canada, the survey discovered Canadians state immigration is offering Canada a safer place by an approximately three-to-one margin over these who say it isn’t (45% vs. 17%).
There is no public consent on the overall impression that immigration has on the nation, but the balance of opinion is definitely in a positive direction and has continued steadily over the preceding seven years, the study disclosed.
Most Canadians Say Yes to Immigration
The Institute Environics found that many Canadians, 52%, think too many immigrants are not adopting values of Canada. Those who supported this point of view outnumbered the 41% of Canadians who opposed with it.
The survey recorded, however, that matters about the immigrant's integration remain below that for most significant of the last 25 years.
