Express Entry Candidates Gets Invitation from Ontario
Having issued a total of 439 invites to applicants in this category, the Skilled Trade Stream has achieved its highest number of invitations since the year began. As a result, the number of Notification of Interest received by the province throughout 2018 has reached 1445.
Eligibility Requirements Under The Skilled Trades Stream
The Skilled Trades Stream of Ontario has certain requirements that applicants must meet in order to qualify. The applicant is expected to be proficient in French or English language and also satisfy the Stream’s eligibility requirement.
He or she should have had at least one-year full time (or an equivalent part-time)job in one of the skilled trades listed in the National Occupational Classification of Canada under the major group 72, 73 or 82, or under the minor group 633. The Skilled Trades Stream, however,does not set a minimum score inits Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) to screen applicants.
Candidates must indicate their interest in moving and settling in Ontario or in All Provinces and Territories when completing their Express Entry Profile.
French Speaking Skilled Workers also drawn
Under this category, the Ontario Province issued invitations to 39 applications thus resulting in a total of 1316 Notifications of Interest (NOI) for the year. As in the Skilled Trades Stream, the French Speaking Skilled Workers Category does not have a minimum score in its Comprehensive Ranking System.
It is compulsory for every candidate applying in any of the categories to have the Express Entry profile.
